My Update Plan

I've been thinking about when I should update my progress. I'm really enjoying blogging, so once per week seems too far apart. So, I've decided.

I will update status twice per week. Once on Monday, and once on Friday. The next update will not be today, because I did one yesterday, but will be next Monday.

Stay tuned.

Cheers.

The current state of things

Here's my guild:

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/guild/the-venture-co/Brits_United

It's progressing nicely and is level 10 at the moment, and about 28% towards level 11. Achievements are coming along nicely also and I'm sitting at 1520 currently.

The toons are:

Flayingbrit (81) - Human/Priest (Herbalism/Alchemy)
Draenybrit (62) - Draenei/Shaman (Mining/Blacksmithing)
Gnomeybrit (60) - Gnome/Priest (Tailoring/Enchanting)
Blizzybrit (60) - Draenei/Mage (Mining/Jewelcrafting)
Flictionbrit (38) - Gnome/Warlock (Mining/Engineering)
Boomybrit (24) - Night Elf/Druid (Herbalism/Inscription)
Fengsuibrit (24) - Panderan/Hunter (Skinning/Leatherworking)
Unstablebrit (24) - Human/Warlock (Herbalism/Skinning)
Elfybrit (8) - Night Elf/Priest (Herbalism/Alchemy)

There's probably one more I will create (and I better do it quick before DMF on Sunday!). Another Alchemist. The idea is to have 3 Alchemists with Transmutation mastery for the 3 Living Steel per day :)

What have I been up to lately?

Well, I've been really focused on getting 4,000 gold for 280% flying speed for Flayingbrit. I finally achieved that, getting half way through Mount Hyjal. Flaying has also been gathering as many achievements as possible. I've even found a new appreciation for Archeology :) I just can't seem to get the last Darnassus fishing daily on Flaying to complete all the major city Fishing and Cooking daily achievements. I'm also doing the Dalaran Cooking and Fishing Dailies, and also the Grizzly Hills ones for 200 honor.

The other thing I've been focused on is getting my Tailor (Gnomeybrit) into Outland, so she can start making Netherweave bags. I finally got Tailoring to 300, but only after getting Runecloth on Gnomey, Draeny, and Blizzy, and then running Hellfire Ramparts on Flaying a couple of times. I also used a Fire Spirit I got from a Blingtron. Finally got to 300 Tailoring last night, and I have tons of Netherweave Cloth saved up from Flaying's time in Outland.

I also started Elfybrit. Did the Night Elf starting zone, and then took the boat to Stormwind City and am now half way through Elwyn Forest.

Here's the leveling path I use for all my toons:

Starting zone -> Elwyn Forest -> Westfall -> Redridge Mountains -> Duskwood -> Northern Stranglehorn -> Cape of Stranglehorn -> Western Plaguelands -> Eastern Plaguelands -> Badlands -> Searing Gorge -> Felwood -> Winterspring -> Swamp of Sorrows -> Blasted Lands

It's a bit unconventional to go off to Felwood and Winterspring. I only do the very last few quests of Felwood, by the Felpaw camp. It's because I really enjoy Winterspring, and it's especially good for any of my Miners.

My Guild Bank is not progressing at the moment, because I've been saving for that 4,000 gold. However, now that Flaying has it, all gold will be used to get more bank slots. I only have 2 currently. One for old world stuff, and one for Outland stuff. I need to get a couple more for Northrend stuff and Cata stuff.

BTW: All my toons get Fishing, Cooking and First Aid. This is so they can all do the Fishing and Cooking Dailies, and 3 DMF quests.

I'll probably update this every week. Lots to get through to get all these toons to 90, but I'm having a lot of fun in the process. Venture Co is lowly populated, but is a really good community. And although there is the threat of being killed around every corner, I rarely see the Horde, and haven't been killed much.

Cheers.

My Worgen Experience

Hi,

I just wanted to tell you about this.

I really like the Human, Gnome, Draenei, Night Elf, and Panderan female models in the game. I never really did try a Worgen female, so decided to start one, with fond memories of the Worgen starting zone.

I started one, and was really enjoying it. I got to about level 11, and was nearing the end of the starting zone. Then I had to do the quest 'The Battle For Gilneas City'.

OMG, what on earth is going on here. I got through this quest part way, and was then suddenly ported back to the start and the quest re-set. Then, I tried again, and got a bit further, but was again ported back to the start and the quest re-set again.

I could not figure out what was going on. So, I deleted the stupid Worgen and vowed never to make a Worgen ever again.

I posted about this over on the WoW forums, and some kind soul said that it was because there's a 15 minute timer to get this done. Well, why doesn't it say that on the quest, or even over at wowhead.

Anyway. I'm done with Worgen!

Cheers.

Starting Over

Hi,

You may know me from wowhead, or from the Blizzard WoW forums. I am Lankybrit over on wowhead, and I post on Draenybrit over on the WoW forums.

This blog will cover my exploits in WoW.

I have played WoW for just over 4 years now. In that time, I have:

1. Been part of a Raiding Guild on Nordrassil
2. Leveled one of each Horde class to 85 there
3. Leveled one of each Alliance class on Perenolde to 85
4. Re-rolled in a re-roll guild on Hyjal and got several toons to 85
5. Tried the Ironman Challenge, but didn't get any toons to 85
6. Quit the game because of CRZ - and went and played GW2 and other games
7. Came back to WoW because GW2 endgame sucked.
8. Started leveling toons on Venture Co. where there's no CRZ
9. Decided that I really wanted to start over
10. Deleted ALL my toons and gave away over 400K and all the guilds I'd leveled. That was 6 level 90s, and 25 other 85+ and several other toons
11. Started a brand new account, and started leveling on Venture Co again

So, that's where I am now. I'm leveling toons, and a guild, on Venture Co. I am currently working on 9 Alliance toons, and my expand to 10 soon. They cover all professions, but I am only playing Ranged DPS classes right now (Shadow Priest, Affliction Warlock, Beast Mastery Hunter, Frost Mage, Elemental Shaman, and Balance Druid). My favorite to play right now is Shadow Priest.

This blog will give regular updates to how I'm progressing, and I may decide to have musings on other WoW topics.

Cheers.
